Day 1: HANOI ARRIVAL (WELCOME DINNER)




Arrival and welcome at Hanoi Airport. Transfer to check in at the hotel. The hotel is at your disposal from 2.00pm. Spend the balance of day to settle into your hotel and recover from jet-lag. Day 2: HANOI SIGHTSEEINGS (B)




Full day tour of Vietnam’s capital city, including Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the traditional stilt house and the revered One-Pillar Pagoda. After that visit Vietnam’s first university, the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature.
In the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum where you can discover the diversity of Vietnam’s many ethnic groups. Return to city centre for exploring the diverse architecture of Hanoi, its famous 36 streets of the Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake by a walking tour. The highlight of the day will be a relaxing time at a traditional coffee shop in Hanoi and enjoy the egg coffee by a very experience local bartender. You will be impressive by this authentic local experience. Back to your hotel in the late afternoon and free at your leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: HANOI – HALONG BAY – OVERNIGHT ON THE BOAT (B,L,D)




Leave Hanoi this morning and head straight to Halong bay a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site with its 3,000 islands of towering limestone dotting the bay and Gulf of Tonkin (180km – 3.5 - 4 hour driving). After arriving at noon, you will board a beautiful boat for an overnight cruise on Halong Bay with an excellent menu of fresh seafood. Lunch and dinner are served on boat. Overnight on board.

Wake up early in the morning to enjoy aquamarine water of the bay at its best. After tea break, the boat continues to cruise quietly through spectacular limestone formations of Halong Bay. Enjoy this more isolated bay’s spectacular and unique islands of the bay. Return to Halong harbor after a tasteful brunch for transfer directly to Hanoi Airport for your onward flight to Danang. Day 5: HOIAN TOWN – A TRIP TO EXPLORE DUY VINH VILLAGE (B)




This morning of discovery of Hoi An's countryside will start with a boat transfer on the Thu Bon river. You will then arrive at the Kim Bong village where you'll have the opportunity to talk about the local traditions and techniques with the village's most famous carpenter. After this special time, you will take a bicycle ride to visit the Duy Vinh village, famous for the weaving of sedge mats and certainly the most beautiful village in the vicinity of Hoi An. While cycling to the village you will find yourself in the middle of luxuriant greenery: rice, corn and sedge fields, areca nut trees, bamboo etc. Once in the village, you will have the chance to meet a local family that will show you the techniques used to weave the sedge mats. You will then continue your exploration by visiting a part of the village where people mostly live on the money earned from fishing. After this visit, you'll take a boat trip lasting around 1 hour on Thu Bon river before heading to the main land in mid-morning. In the afternoon, you will take a stroll through small streets of the town to explore two-century-old Chinese houses. Sites include the Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Temple, and Tan Ky trading house. In the afternoon, you join a workshop for producing lanterns, where you will have the chance to discover this traditional handicraft. Then you will have memorable time for enjoying a cup of tea or coffee at "Reaching Out Tea House" - a very special and unique ancient house where offer you not only a fabulous drinks and snack but also the soul values. Day 7: CU CHI TUNNELS – SAIGON CITY (B)




After breakfast, depart for Cu Chi where you will visit the amazing tunnel network built by Vietnamese fighters during the American War. Return to Saigon in the late morning. After lunch break (your expense), we will set out to visit the former French colonial capital – Ho Chi Minh City or also called as Saigon by many locals. Main historical sites include Old Saigon Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Opera House. Round off your day at famous Ben Thanh market where you can look at something for souvenirs. The evening is free at leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: SAIGON – MEKONG BOAT TRIP – FLY TO SIEM REAP (B)




Today we depart from Ho Chi Minh City to explore Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta (130km - 2.5 - 3 hour driving). Pick up at the Phong Nam pier. Get on boat and will cruise along the Chet Say river (a branch of the Mekong) and stop off at various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works, including coconut activated charcoal factory where coconut shell is put into high heat kiln to produce coconut charcoal; a coconut processing workshop, where you can sample fresh coconut and see how every single part of this versatile nut is turned into food and other products. Then the boat will cruise through the small canal, discover the local life. The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience real Delta village life, visit a mat weaving house, where straw mats are woven using a hand loom – you can even have a go at weaving yourself before boarding your xe loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) or biking into the village where you can see farm, rice field and vegetable plan before stopping at a local house for a delicious and filling lunch, featuring such local specialties as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp, washed down with some cold drinks or beers. It’s time to board a sampan for a relaxing trip along narrow canals. Take boat back to Pier. Back to the main road for a transfer back to Ho Chi Minh Airport for your flight to Siem Reap. On arrival, meet your local guide and drive to your hotel for check in. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: SIEM REAP EXPLORATION (B)




Your day starts with a visit to Angkor Wat, a world heritage site with soaring towers and extraordinary bas reliefs. It is one of the most amazing man-made monuments in the world, erected in the 12th century in honour of Vishnu. In the afternoon, leave for Banteay Srei where a most impressive jewel of Khmer art exists. Erected in the 10th century, this small pink sandstone temple is known as the Citadel of Women. On the way back, visit the ancient Ta Prohm Monastery where immense branches have taken root in the stones – hence the nickname of the Jungle Temple. You will find some splendid sculptured Devatas and an atmosphere that is unique. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel. Note: Lunch is not included but our guide will be happy to take you back to your hotel or to Bar Street in Siem Reap so you can purchase lunch and take a short break from the tour.

Day 10: SIEM REAP EXPLORATION (B)




In the morning leave by tuk-tuk for the northern end of Angkor, beginning the day with Preah Khan Temple, built by Jayavarman VII in 1191 in honour of his father. This monument was both a city and a place for Buddhism studies. Of the same era is Neak Pean, the only island temple of Angkor, and also known as Entwined Nagas. The large central basin is linked with four smaller basins which represent the four great rivers flowing from the earth’s four cardinal points. One of the most interesting features of this site is the superb statute of Balaha, representing the legendary saviour of shipwrecked boats. Continue your exploration of Angkor by heading further south to visit the two very beautiful temples – Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda – dating from the 12th century and built during the reign of Suryavarman II. They stand out because of their very beautiful sculptured images honouring Shiva and Vishnu. In the afternoon, visit Angkor Thom (the Great City) beginning by the south gate and the famous Bayon of the 12th and 13th centuries, dedicated to Buddhism and composed of 54 gigantic towers featuring 216 smiling faces of Avalokitesvara. Then, visit the Elephant Terrace, which was used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king’s grand audience hall; and the raised Leper King Terrace, built in the 12th century and which features many beautifully sculptured Apsaras.
